The Sulkers
...their mood a heavy weight to bear
The sulker sits with pout and frown,
Their mood a heavy weight to bear.
They plop themselves on chair or ground,
And grumble that life is unfair.
No word or gesture can appease
This creature lost in self-pity.
Their grievances they'll never ease,
For sulking is their sole activity.
Oh, how it drains the energy
Of those around who try to please!
But soon enough it's plain to see,
That sulking will not bring them ease.
So let us give the sulkers space,
To sit and stew in solitude.
Perhaps they'll find a better place,
Where joy and happiness elude.
