One day what you believe to be true,

what you believe to be the puriest emotion you have ever felt,

the rawest of feelings...

What you refer to as Love;

will be laid at your feet and you will stand in question of it.

And, as if on que,

Love and life as you know it,

will slowly transpose right in front of your eyes.

And in a state of total of disbelief,

as you watch it change and transform someone you love into someone you no longer are familiar with,

someone so completely different that you barely recognize them.

And no matter how loud you scream,

and try to warn them,

they don't pay any attention,

instead they look through you

and call you crazy.

You start feeling this whole new emotion.

Yes, one day the bad will begin to out weigh the good

The anger turns to hate and it begins to override the love.

And sometimes,

in the blink of an eye,

you will find you are all alone.

And now with a deeper feeling of anguish, resentment and pain you realize that you no longer love this stranger.

He is no longer your own.

The downward spiral of disassociating yourself from what is most familiar now takes place.

The sunrise looks different.

And nightfall without them is very scary.

And as your world spirals around you and you can barely keep from falling down,

like magic,

the strength of 1000 butterflies pulls you up and majestically you stand tall.

And with a newfound pride,

you show those that at one time mattered to you the most,

that, now, you are truly invincible

and most capable of standing alone.

And from these lessons you have learned to live life more cautiously.

And you now protect and value yourself in such a way that

you will never disrespect yourself or simply just give it away again.
