The Strength in Stillness

Why Solitude is the Ultimate Act of Self-Love and Selection

Once you understand how to live alone, you gradually realize what kind of person you are truly suited to spend your life with.

The person who only gets drunk with you is rarely the one destined to take you home. Do not expect the stability you crave from someone who indulges only in debauchery.

Spending Christmas or New Year's Eve alone is actually fine. Instead of using the noise of a crowd to mask your loneliness, it is better to find calm and realign your state of mind.

To find healthy love, you must first be in a healthy environment and become a healthy person. This is because people with similar qualities attract one another. Meeting the right person at the right time is what truly matters.

If the right person isn't there on an important day, I would rather be alone than settle. I will not mingle with crowds just to hide my solitude. Sometimes, being single and without restless desires is the greatest happiness. You no longer have to cater to anyone else's emotions, and you no longer have to suffer.

When you are single, all your gentleness, all your patience, and all your love are reserved for yourself.

Spending the holidays alone isn't so bad. Even if you spend them with someone now, there is a high chance that person won’t be there next year. Do not casually share your New Year’s Eve with just anyone.

The advantage of being single is peace and the absence of disappointment. Having no memories is better than having painful ones. Unless you are seriously planning to spend the rest of your life with someone, there is no need to create "beautiful" memories now that will only bring sadness in the future.

The way to get through the holidays is not by rushing into crowds, not by casually finding a partner, and not by settling because you feel lonely. The best way to spend New Year's Eve is to be alone and quiet—reflecting on the past year’s achievements, looking forward, and setting new goals.

Finally, I want to share this: The companion who stays with you the longest in life is never "the person you like," but "the things you love to do."

Therefore, being single is your best "self-improvement period." Cultivate your interests, invest in your career, and improve yourself. We should always strive to expand our circles to find better partners, rather than lowering our standards for someone who makes us unhappy.
