it’s appearances of being still

like water in the bottom of a pool

without movement

creating silent sparks at will

movements very definition

sequins on a chandelier

receiving Ginger’s full attention

the tapping shoes of Fred Astaire

a flock of birds swaying in motion

the hint of something in the air

flowing like currents in the ocean

it’s friction tossing strands of hair

a subtle rumble in the sand

it’s reasoning become lucid

exchanging thoughts without command

collecting moisture when it’s humid

an unheard sigh in cluttered attics

sensations stirring still unseen

the gentle creeping flow of static

the stillness of movement in between
