The Stars, The Sun, and The Moon

When the stars

came out to play,

the moon joined

to light the way.

A blanket of light

across the night sky,

guiding our thoughts

as the hours drift by.

Each twinkle a wish,

a hope in the dark,

whispers of dreams,

a guiding light,

When morning breaks,

the sun will rise,

A lovely warmth,

from above in the sky,

warming the ground.

Stars now at rest,

the moon bids farewell,

they watch over us,

casting warmth and light.

Together they watch

over the earth too

We embrace, the love

They give to us all

The reminders of kindness,

of hope, and of hope to us all

Please Note, This poem has been written and dedicated to my great great grandmother, Sarah Ann Holland, whom I never seen, she requested a poem when she was alive, about the sun, the moon, and the stars, I now honor that request. She rests in peace. ❤️❤️
