The Stargazer
To look to see the mystery up above

The Stargazer
He knelt where frost had kissed the ground,
No voice, no sleep, no mortal sound.
Each night he stared through sky’s deceit,
Till blood ran cold and heart missed beat.
The stars began to blink like eyes,
Alive with ancient alibis.
They whispered not in words, but weight,
A pull too sharp to name as fate.
His skin grew pale, then peeled away,
His bones turned glass in slow decay.
Thoughts stretched thin like dying flame
No past, no pain, no pulse, no name.
The stars took root behind his gaze,
His voice a hum of fractured phrase.
No longer man, nor beast, nor ghost,
He joined the things he feared the most.
Now when you look to skies so wide,
A shimmer blinks where stars collide.
It watches back through centuries,
A soul unmade by galaxies.
