You walk the house that you have always walked through

Today it is hollow, the warmth is not there

You cannot hear him whistling to himself

You cannot hear her singing or humming

It is pure emptiness

Where the living room was, where you used to sit

by the fire and the guitar

Where ghosts stories became real

being told by shadows and laughs

Entering the room you notice it

The light beaming and dancing

creating vortexes and shapes

Colors interchanging with one another

like a lovers song speaking to you

You notice the surface of the mural

The house might stand empty

yet you can see the memories wrapped up

The rainbows beam against the wall

as the sun hits it right there

Once again you are filled with warmth

the memories splash like the beams on the wall

Each memory is like another color adding dimension

the house might be empty but the memories still.
