An eerie supernatural kind of place

There's a place that exists between dead corn stalks

the corn long since harvested

where the wind rustles between them

stirring magic and mischief in the air

October

a humanoid figure stands in the middle of the field

limbs moving in the dark

the scarecrow comes to life

the wind howls between the stalks

imitating human screams

otherworldly moans

Has the dead also come to life?

October

There's a place where the fog hovers above dead trees

crooked and gnarly

that loom over graveyards

A place where mist touches each gravestone

like a beckoning hand

enticing the spirits, the corpses to a danse macabre

October

There's a place where a veil

shrouds over the earth

separating the living and the spirit world

becomes at its most thin

like transparent delicate fabric

Where the supernatural emerge

and mingle with the living

October
