The Spaceship That Got Lost
Earth will Not be used as home. No way

The Spaceship That Got Lost
They built a spaceship made for space,
With silver wings and rocket shoes,
It had a kitchen, swimming pool,
And seventeen television news.
The captain pressed the launch control,
The engines made a mighty sound,
The spaceship rose above the clouds,
Then promptly turned itself around.
It travelled past the Moon and Mars,
Then stopped beside a purple star,
The captain checked the navigation,
And said, I think we’re rather far.
They met an alien in a hat,
Who asked them where they planned to go,
The captain looked at all his maps,
And whispered, Honestly, don’t know.
They passed a planet made of cheese,
Where little spaceships parked in rows,
And met a creature with three heads,
Who offered them some cosmic toast.
They tried to find the way back home,
But every button seemed confused,
The spaceship chose its own direction,
And said the captain had been “used.”
At last they found the Earth again,
But landed somewhere in a field,
The farmer stared at them and said,
“Is this some sort of farming yield?”
The captain laughed and shut it down,
Then looked up at the evening sky,
And said, We may have lost our way,
But what a wonderful goodbye.
