"The Space Within"
Rendezvous
The touch of the dry and the withered
Carving the stone
As lines mark the paper
Like leaves from the earth
Like veins that grow through concrete
As if sand had turned to marble
Looking rough but feeling smooth
As fate does with will
Under the light of the sun.

I really enjoy the imagery in this poem. The comparison of the lines carving into the stone to leaves falling from the earth is particularly striking. It's also interesting to see how the sand is described as turning to marble, rough on the outside but smooth to the touch. The final line about fate and will under the light of the sun adds a deeper layer of meaning to the poem. Overall, I think this is a beautifully written and thought-provoking piece.
Love the art and how your words add to the illustration.
"Like veins that grow through concrete"...how beautiful. I love art-inspired poetry! My poem Goodnight Sweet Maere was inspired by Henry Fuseli's "The Nightmare". Hearted and subscribed, my friend. Looking forward to checking out more of your work.
I enjoyed the minimalist approach to the piece, hearted and I love the art
