The Space Between Lines
Haunted By The Silence Of Tomorrow

I suppose this is my punishment.
Stuck between my past and my future,
When a single line reminded me
Of the miracle I gave up.
No matter which angle I searched from,
Frustration clung to me—
Like a half-written letter
That would never be sent.
I can’t change the past,
And my future carries the weight.
It lingers behind me,
A phantom I cannot shake.
Unsure if the torment will soften,
I walk the road of uncertainty.
Wondering if mercy waits ahead,
Or if I’m destined to suffer.
I remember when I held two sweet lines;
The decision pending.
If only I had hindsight,
Guilt mightn’t dwell within me.
I pray for another chance,
I persevere.
Not knowing if blessing or damnation
Waits in the silence of tomorrow.
