As they value themselves
The smartest one in the room
Everyone below them as they stare down
From their perch they come up with brilliance
As they hear the people’s shout
Praises of their grand ideas
The smartest one in the room
The only one in the room
As the others do the work
As they are needed for directions
So inspirational to all around the crowd
The smartest one in the room
As they sit alone on top
Lost in their mind of wonderful thought
Never seeing what was lost
As they feel their greatness looking all around
As they love to tell themselves
They are the smartest ones
