The Skeleton Who Lost His Head
Next years he is going to stay dead

The Skeleton Who Lost His Head
There once was a skeleton out for a stroll,
Who tripped on a pumpkin and down he rolled,
His skull went flying across the grass,
And landed right in a witch’s glass.
She laughed and said, my brew’s complete,
A skull to stir, how very sweet,
He shouted, hey, that’s mine you thief,
You’re causing me tremendous grief.
She dropped him quick, he bounced away,
And rolled straight through a ghostly play,
He bowled them over one by one,
And cried, I never meant such fun.
He found his body near the gate,
It stood there tapping bones in wait,
He popped back on his head and said,
Next year I’m staying home instead.
