The Silent Cry of a Broken Mirror

When the reflection doesn’t match the soul within

By Emma Published about a year ago • 1 min read

A thousand shards reflect my face,

But none can show my rightful place.

The glass is cracked, the lines are deep,

It holds the secrets I can’t keep.

I see a smile, but it’s not mine,

A stranger’s eyes that used to shine.

Each fragment whispers, soft, unclear,

The truth I hide, the things I fear.

A mirror breaks, but so do I,

A silent scream I can’t deny.

Yet in the pieces, sharp, undone,

I find the strength to face the sun.
