The Sickness

Surreal Poem About Mental Illness

By Eureka! 💡Published 8 years ago • 1 min read

A life of viral hallucinations,

Giving me religious ecstasy!

And through the years of physical sensations,

Become a man pure and scary.

Suffer from the social isolation!

A feeling like an early morning sickness,

Falling through a sad and sweet frustration,

The pain of making you delirious.

You become a little homicidal.

Confused and jaded by hallucination,

Being trapped within a downward spiral,

The breath of life is such an aggravation.

Created by a pure disease progression.

Spreading like a nicotine addiction,

Feel the pain and suffer from depression,

The fear of self becomes a new affliction.

Surrounded by a mental institution.

I need protection from my own condition,

Offers me a life without seclusion,

On the brink of sick addiction.
