The shower has always been my waterfall
A place of isolation
A place of meditation
My form of solace
Water fell when I reached catharsis
And heat rose when I didn’t know what to say
My feet were frozen as I thought about life
And my head pounded the linoleum thinking about your death.
I was in my waterfall when I thought I fell in love
When I realized my love was lost
When I realized I never loved at all
When I realized I would never love again.
