Of Pain and Fear

In the shadow of war, a darkness falls

Anger and fear, they both enthrall

Emotions raw, like open wounds

The scars of battle, forever bound

The shadows of war, they loom and creep

A constant presence, a never-ending sleep

The anger and fear, they never cease

A never-ending cycle, a never-ending tease

The emotions of war, they swirl and twist

A maelstrom of chaos, a never-ending list

Of pain and fear, of anger and hate

A never-ending storm, a never-ending date

The war casts its shadow, far and wide

A dark and foreboding tide

It sweeps across the land, it sweeps through the heart

Leaving in its wake, a trail of hurt and smart
