THE ROAR OF THE STORM
And the lightning strikes
**
The dark clouds are passing overhead now.
The sky’s no longer blue.
The wind has started blowing fiercely.
And, there’s thunder and lightning, too.
I sit here waiting for the rain
Which has not yet begun to fall.
I hope the roar of the approaching storm
Doesn’t all the rain to stall.
Ah! Blessed relief, here comes the rain,
In such s violent downpour –
We needed the rain more than you know,
So I’m hoping we’ll get an inch, hopefully more.
