The River's Song

An enchanting tale of a river's timeless journey, echoing stories of nature and life along its winding, melodic flow.

By Andrew MarsPublished about a year ago • 1 min read

h gentle river, flowing free,

A timeless song in harmony.

You carve the earth, you kiss the sky,

A silver thread where dreams drift by.

Your waters dance, your ripples play,

Through night’s embrace and golden day.

Reflecting stars, the moon’s soft light,

A mirror to the endless night.

From mountain peaks, your journey starts,

Through valleys deep, through beating hearts.

You bring the life, you quench the land,

With tender touch, with guiding hand.

The children laugh along your shore,

Their dreams are cast, their hopes explore.

The fisherman, with net in hand,

Seeks treasures from your fertile strand.

You’ve seen the wars, you’ve heard the cries,

The battles fought beneath your skies.

But still you flow, through time you glide,

A witness to the changing tide.

Oh river vast, oh river wide,

You hold the past within your stride.

Each drop a tale, each wave a song,

Of life, of love, where all belong.

And when the world grows still and gray,

You whisper softly on your way.

A voice of peace, a soul set free—

Oh river, sing your song to me.
