The Red-Gloved Boxer's Knockout Lesson

K5

The boxer, with gloves so red and bright,

In ring of punches took great delight.

But as fame and fortune came his way,

His gloves became his only sway.

He'd gaze upon them for hours on end,

Admiring their colour and power to bend.

But one day, as he stepped in the ring,

His gloves came alive, it was quite a thing!

They punched him back with all their might,

And put up quite a hell of a fight.

He was confused and couldn't see,

Why his own gloves were attacking he?

But as the match went on, he came to know,

His vanity and ego had let his gloves grow.

They embodied all his worst traits,

And now were punishing him for his hates hates hates.

In the end, he was defeated not,

By an opponent but by his own thought.

And though he lost, he came to see,

True power comes from humility.
