The Reckoning.

THE RISE OF THE WOUNED FEMININE

By Hridya SharmaPublished 6 months ago 1 min read

The reckoning.

Revenge in its entirety, sharpens the edge of enmity,

Atrocious in its nurture, harrowing its existence under the breaths of animosity.

Drowning into the depths of darkness, the pure soul cries,

The epitome of light it once was, no longer mourns as its innocence dies.

Lapsing in its hues, transcending through the troubled waters of life,

A benevolent sailor anchors the ship of hope that scrambles to be alive.

Pain sets its fangs, harrowing the spirit of mirth,

As the tireless arms striving to spread joy give in to its dearth.

Endearing charms that shielded others now in silence hail,

The warmth of summer loses its embrace as the heart of gold turns pale.

Endurance uproaring its stance now silences its claim,

As the heart burns its being, in the wildfire that cannot be tamed

The sonder of innocence now forged to be the tales once told,

Revenge in its entirety is savoured the best when served cold.

Alas, the ease of radiance could not survive the final brawl,

The epitome of light once it was, she got rid of it all.
