The Reality of Dragons

A Poem

Dragons are real

They must be.

Proof is found

Throughout our history

In places our across Earth

Are depictions of flying beasts.

Whether it’s from their mighty wings

Or a powerful dark magic.

We see the same beasts

Flying

Breathing fire

Saving and

Destroying

Our friend the dragon, may not live

In the now.

But they must’ve

Once.

All across our world

They must’ve roamed

Big and small

Fire breathing and not

Never domesticated

Always wild.

The dragon

The beast was living

On our Earth

Until the were hunted away.

Past the brink.

The hides were made for clothes

The meat for food

And the teeth and claws were tools of war

They live on

Not in a physical realm

But in the reality

Of human imagination.
