The warrior gazed at the rays of light dancing on the lake. The heat radiating from the water, soaked into her naked arms. She heard the singing of the invaders. She looked for the attackers but couldn't find them. Dead animals floated by her. She wondered if she would be next. A shot of light struck the water. Sparks jumped towards her. She froze in what she thought was fear. When the sparks disappeared she tried to escape. She was shocked to discover she was now a statue. Her emotions were alive, but her body was her prison.

This was engaging and such a shout provoking read. It felt like a prose from a larger piece of work or even a prologue to a story. Would you ever expand on this to create a story a fable? I really enjoyed this Antoinette! 💜
