Divinity in an artistic form,

A kaleidoscope, enigmatic,

Stories told in a thematic sequence,

A cycle; important, lost to many.

The Old Testament, brought to life,

A ceiling of glory shimmering in the sun,

The Sistine Chapel, one of a kind,

A message that reads to the stars.

An entity of nothing,

Untainted; pure, till lights creation,

God; one with darkness, creates his opposite,

Brightness blooms, work can begin.

A world built from nothing but dust,

A species created with love, washed away,

The story unfolds, life into destruction into life,

Shaping those that stay strong.

A message of renewal and hardships overcome,

The paintings whisper down at you,

Lighting up your life, giving faith,

Faith in yourself, the rarest faith of all.

Yes, the paintings of the Cistine Chapel are truly amazing and impressive. The only thing that annoyed me a bit was the necessity to crane my neck all the way up. And it's overcrowded with tourists, so one cannot try to lie down on the floor and fully appreciate the artistic ceiling.
