The Rainbow Within
Poem of a Bisexual in a Christian Home

Something inside me,
That makes them hurt and despise me,
A little color,
That I must keep undercover,
If they were told,
The feelings I hold,
I would lose them forever
No happiness or hope,
I have a rainbow,
Small splashes of color,
Only I can know,
For if they discover,
The feelings inside me,
The emotion within
The love I have for both men and women,
I loved a girl,
But kept that inside,
If they ever new,
I would then have to cry,
I am a woman,
A daughter,
A sister,
I am forever condemned by the holy scripture,
Am I a human,
Do I deserve friends,
Do I deserve happiness,
Or anything in the end,
Am I a child,
Going through a phase,
Or do I question this,
Because of my emotional daze,
What am I,
Who will love me,
A man or a woman,
Well one day we'll know,
Will I follow "God's will"
Or keep my rainbow,
My choice could make those I love stay friend...
Or turn foe,
