"The Quiet Wealth"

I do not chase the thunder’s call,

Nor gold behind the palace wall,

But walk the path where rivers sing,

And find my joy in simple things.

A morning breeze, a sparrow’s flight,

The way the stars return each night,

A steaming cup, a wooden chair,

The scent of earth, the open air.

No coins can buy the sun’s first ray,

That paints the hills at break of day.

No price can cage the ocean’s sigh,

Or hold the hush when owls fly by.

The world moves fast — it races wide,

But peace walks gently at your side.

It lives not loud, nor seeks a crown,

But smiles when all the lights go down.

A child’s laugh, a lover’s glance,

A dandelion caught in dance,

These moments pass — but leave their gold,

More rich than treasures kingdoms hold.

So let the world crave bigger things,

I'll trade them for what morning brings.

For in each breath and leaf and stone,

I find a life that feels my own.

Wealth is not in what we keep,

But what still sings when all else sleeps.

And I, with nothing grand to show,

Have all I need — and more — to grow.
