The quiet man

...

By ©I.M. "That Girl," Inure MusePublished 6 years ago 1 min read

I am a quiet man.

I do, as I'm told and try, when I can, to help my fellow man...

by turning the channel, when I see the news.

Bypassing the people on the streets, in weathered clothes,

holding condensed-milk tins as, tithes cans.

Singing a “will work for food” blues.

I am the law-abiding human stock.

I am, 'rich mans’ collateral.

Dollar sign$.

The unacknowledged,

angst ridden, and psyche, pillaged.

Another sheep in the fold, following, aimlessly, to that "double talk" blind

news, lost flock.

The misinformed, mislead and abused.

Quietly awaiting my next chance to be used.
