Oh love, how fickle and fleeting thou art,

A wisp of smoke, a flame that soon departs.

Thou burnest bright, but quickly thou dost fade,

Leaving behind a shattered heart, dismayed.

Oh heart, how fragile and vulnerable thou art,

A vessel for love, yet so easily torn apart.

Thou art a puzzle, with pieces scattered wide,

Trying to make sense of the pain inside.

Oh pain, how relentless and cruel thou art,

A thief of joy, tearing us apart.

Thou dost grip us tight, refusing to let go,

Leaving us lost in a world of woe.

Oh hope, how distant and elusive thou art,

A glimmer of light in a world so dark.

Thou art a beacon, guiding us through the pain,

Giving us strength to love again.

Oh love, how challenging and rewarding thou art,

A journey of joy and pain that never departs.

Thou art a teacher, showing us how to grow,

Leaving behind a heart that is whole.
