THE POETRY THIEF
The poetry thief crept through the night.
Silent as shadows, gone from the light.
With delicate fingers, he plucked at my muse.
Taking my verses, leaving me to lose.
My top story was stolen, a tale of pure heart.
Crafted with passion, each line a fine art.
Whispers of love and laughter entwined.
Now drift in the dark, no longer defined.
He danced through my dreams, a phantom in play.
Stealing my words as the dawn broke the day.
In the silence that followed, I felt the despair.
For every sweet stanza he lifted from air.
Yet deep in my spirit, a fire still burned.
For stories are endless, their pages turned.
I gather my thoughts, though they tremble and sway.
To weave new beginnings and chase shadows away.
With ink as my armor, I fight back with grace.
Rewriting new worlds in my own sacred space.
The poetry thief may have taken a part.
But he cannot steal what lives in my heart.
So I rise from the ashes, each word a new spark.
Rewriting my journey, igniting the dark.
With stories reborn, I reclaim what is mine.
No thief can dim the light of my rhyme.
