The Poetry of Murmurations
Poetry Microdose: Day Twenty-Two
the moon, reflected in the rear-vision mirror,
stretches & twists over the valley. although she was
born in a phase of dismemberment, she refuses to be
partitioned. she never questions any body of water
from which she draws her name, lunar lunatic moonlight.
shine with the tongue of no language. shine with all
that can be seen. shine with all that cannot be murmured.
shine with constellations of echoes. shine with the solar
systems of silenced voices. shine with scattered mosaics.
wax with the wings of breath. wane with the first signs
of life rising. light the footpaths with the strength
of waters broken & shades of midnight suffering.
