In a garden of endless bloom,
Where the earth holds secrets deep,
A seed is planted with tender care,
In the quiet hours of sleep.
The soil is rich, the sun is warm,
Whispers of life begin to stir,
But the wind, with a fickle breath,
Carries a chill, makes the roots defer.
The rain falls gentle, then turns to storm,
Washing hope from the fragile ground,
The leaves unfurl, then wither fast,
Silence where life should abound.
The moon watches with a silver eye,
As shadows lengthen, nights grow long,
The garden waits, the soil still warm,
But the seed’s promise has gone wrong.
A vine reaches out, searching for light,
But finds only the emptiness of air,
The blossoms dreamt, now ghosts in the mist,
A memory of what was almost there.
The gardener’s hands, once full of hope,
Now cradle the ache of what’s not to be,
Yet still, beneath the barren ground,
The heart whispers, “Wait, we shall see.”
For in this place of quiet despair,
Where petals fall before they bloom,
The earth still turns, the seasons shift,
And maybe, one day, life will resume.
But for now, the garden rests,
In the hush before the dawn,
And the seed, though lost, is cherished still,
In the place where dreams are drawn.
