Once a pixie

meek and small

Fell in love with a rose

beautiful and tall

That stood in the brambles

Near a waterfall

“I love you” cried pixie

Wings beating mad

But the rose didn’t answer

And pixie was sad

So the pixie went closer

Thinking the rose could not hear

Brambles pricking the pixie

But continued on with no fear

“I love you” yelled pixie

But to no avail

The rose only swayed

The brambles a veil

At the foot of the rose

The pixie did cry

Its wings had been torn

It could no longer fly

With its last breath

“I love you!!!” it cried

But the rose only swayed

And pixie had died

heartbreak
