The pit in my stomach
might just swallow me whole.
-
At least, when my burden is gone,
the bills should be cheaper.
-
Take my money for a new home,
rid yourself of my possessions,
burn what doesn’t sell
and have a dance, there, on the embers.
-
Gather the ash together,
and leave it by the gutter.
-
This generational hatred will go no further,
I will not carry
your curse any more.
-
It will end in that moment
that my body hits the floor.
