Cloud and smoke obscure the shape
Of an unfamiliar place
The child's mind tries to find
Some way to excite the space
A mystery history of a land far away
Unknown to even adults
Inspires the mind of a young little lad
To approach his mind and consult
But in that field of pillars and grass
There I saw a ghastly sight
Between the stones that may be graves
A figure of awful fright
The site collapsed and left us dust
As my child mind was still
The figure arose, a ghost in the mist
As tourists made for the hills
At but seven years old, I was dreaming of fate
Imagining what could be
But to this day, I fear my stay
At Stonehenge will cost more than the fee
