Wrapped in thoughts while stars sparkle in the night, Sitting with legs stretched out and a warm Summer breeze; The sound of laughter fills the air, backed by lightning bugs in flight.

Watching large oak stumps burn hot and bright, The kids run and play in the yard as they please, One pretends to be a Queen, the other a Knight.

Peace settles in without a worry, allowing me to write These words as they seek to appease; The intent is to comfort, keeping positivity in sight.

Clear vision and a humble heart that's light, Supplemented with steak, mashed potatoes and peas; We feast on healthy portions, savoring every bight.

Life is good as we see it, watching lights sparkle in the night; Happy faces and stomachs full, pondering the sky beyond the trees, The fire dwindles to ashes as we fall asleep easy, knowing everything is alright.
