The peacock

The colours of a rainbow.

A blue crown on his head,

Across his back the deepest blue,

Runs down to his chest.

His colours sparkle in the sun.

All greens,blues and gold.

His tail is now shimmering,

He is putting on a show.

The girls just stop and look at him,

As he dances in the breeze.

So many eyes stare back at them,

As he shimmers more to please.

A bright white stripe across his eyes,

He looks so much at ease.

How wonderful is nature,

To give colour,that's so bright.

You only know when you see one,

That God did this one right.
