A peaceful dream, a dream so calm
A place where worries never harm
A place where I can just be free
A place where I am truly me

But in this dream, I am not alone
There's something lurking, it's unknown
A feeling of fear, a feeling of dread
A feeling that's making me want to leave my bed

The sky is dark, the wind is cold
A storm is brewing, a story untold
The trees are shaking, the ground is quaking
I try to run, but my feet won't take me

I scream for help, but no one is there
I'm lost in this dream, it's a nightmare
I can't escape, I'm trapped in this place
A peaceful dream, but it's not a peaceful space

I wake up sweating, I'm gasping for air
A dream so peaceful, but filled with despair
I realize now, that peace is just an illusion
A dream so peaceful, is never truly peaceful.
