The Path to Hurting

Say It Again

First, you must cast off the bond

Label the person a “stranger”

Even if it is your daughter

Who visited you of her own free will

The path to hurting someone is shorter than you think

She forgot about old wounds

She forgave you for so much

Yet you kept finding ways

To humiliate her and to boost your own ego

With everything that makes you feel like a man

Because no woman in her right mind would put up with it

The path to hurting someone is shorter than you think

Buried up to the ears

In the mud

Madness has ruled this place for as long as I can remember

Yet this wasn't the kind of madness stemming from an inexperienced girl

Who had reached the pinnacle of skill

But rather from those who denied the truth for decades

Drowning in their own senseless rhetoric

The path to hurting someone is shorter than you think

Devoid of any emotion

It can strike the mind in a flash

Depending on whether it’s ego or pure science
