The Path Less Traveled

We're taught to follow, to obey,
To do as we're told, without delay,
To follow the rules, and fit in,
But what if there's another way, within?

What if we choose, to pave our own path,
To break away, from the norm, and the wrath,
And let our own unique light, shine for a while?

It's not an easy road, to take,
To challenge the norm, and the fake,
The person, we're truly meant to be.

To find our own path, and our own stride,
To discover our own unique gifts,
And to let them shine, without any rifts.

For the path less traveled, is where,
We find the answers, to our prayer,
It's where we discover, who we are,
And where we can shine, like a star.

So let's dare, to take that step,
To leave the path, that's been well kept,
And to live it, without any strife.

For the path less traveled, may be rough,
But it's where we find, our own true love,
For ourselves, and for this world,
And where we can create, a life unfurled.
