giant redwood and fir trees
cast towering shadows
glades of greenery are brightened by
sunlight seeping in
ferns and ivy skirt the paths I pursue,
shared with squirrels, sparrows, slugs and snails
decaying wood and damp debris,
the moist earth, and evergreen needles
together, a sensory overload
along the beach,
sea shells sing a melody,
sloshing in shoreline waves,
waterborne chimes.
sea and salt fills the air while
Seagulls screech and soar
***
park gardens are filled with
colorscapes of
dahlias, roses -
blooms rotated by season.
***
biking, hiking,
jogging, walking,
picnicking, beachcombing
fishermen, ferries,
and foragers frequent
my favorite park.
a place of solace and renewal,
a rewarding retreat

Not sure I have ever seen the word Sloshing in a poem there, and it was the perfect one for that spot.
