The painting that liked to talk

When there was nobody there everything was extremely quiet

This was especially the case during the night

Not even a whisper from others

No patrons strolling the halls

Nothing much to do except hang on the walls

Maybe occasionally they would see someone cleaning the floors

Or perhaps closing the doors

But usually it was just them thinking they were being boors

Until the next day when visitors would be roaming around admiring what was on the walls

Sometimes stopping to adore

Or just to find out more

This one would always call

Some would stop in the tracks and stall

Or just remain there for a while and gawk

Others would just take a quick look and continue to walk

But the ones who stopped were also engaged in deep thought

Thinking that the conversation was a bit unusual for this sort

Then they realised they were looking at the painting that liked to talk.
