The Owl Sings

The Couple Listens

First there was darkness then came the light.

One could not see then they called it sight.

Why does the world look so dark, ask man…?

People are evil and cannot keep peace at hand.

Love is lost and people are scared and hide.

Fear takes over and evil hops on for the ride.

Artists write, draw, and sing about the good on Earth.

That is why people marry, love, and give birth.

The hope is new blood will bring true new hope.

Instead of hope people throw out a lifeline of rope.

You can talk to the owls because they will listen.

Their eyes are bright, wise, wide and glisten.

You can hoot and talk and ask a question.

The Barn owl responds and gives you the wisdom of vison.

He brings love at night and romance to the couple in the dark.

His words are mild, calm, subtle, and create the spark.

Needed to tell the story he yells at night.

Pushing away the darkness and bringing back the brightness of the light.

The couple sits by the fire in the night and listens and talks.

The Barn owl responds and make them hold hands and want to walk.

Into the night and off into the dark.

Reigniting the love, their faith, and rekindling the spark.

Yet you cannot reach the owl to see his eyes.

For if you did you would lose the magic because he would hide.

Owls are wise, loved, and full of faith.

They show romance, love, and are full of grace.

The couple lingers until the early brightness of dawn.

Drawn to the owl hoping that they never forget his song.

For the love, the Barn owl brings is strong and true.

The couple uses it to bind their hearts like super glue.

So, at night when it is clear and calm.

Look and listen for the Barn owl to respond.

He will answer your call if you are true to the cause.

Never show fear, hatred, distrust, and never pause.

The couples love grows with every noise and hoot.

They smile, hold hands, and give each other a big heart felt smooch.

Love the Barn owl, his wisdom is solid.

Never wrong, evil or soiled.

Kiss under the moon and never worry about the.

For the Barn owl will always return the sun and it will be bright.

Love is the Barn Owls song.]

Prove it to be wrong.

About the Creator

Thomas R Dorsett Jr

Writers have a unique way of putting the imagination into overdrive. I have read and re-read several different classics and wondered what it would be like to write one someday. I hope to achieve that goal by my golden years.
