The origins of the ancient conflict.

Despite the passing of the elder days, and all that had been accomplished thus far, the reign of dragon fire still lingered over the edge of the abyss.

The winged terrors of the sky in all their power and might,

Their wisdom and cunning,

Brought low, by those they deemed as lesser races.

The days were dark, and dismal.

The shrewd gaze of a serpent seemed to gaze upon the world,

While the dragons continued to dwindle in numbers.

The strength of the beasts, was failing.

Their power becoming faint,

As the fire in their veins began to dwindle.

Their bloodlines falling in strength and power,

As their kin began to pass.

Their might beginning to fade away into the ashes of history.

For when humanity would take its claim upon the world,

Blessed by the Eternal.

Soon, very soon,

It was merely a matter of time…
