The One Who Breaks The Bow

Something to think about.

When does one cut lo0se to much

Is it when the dam has finally broken

When all those things hidden away and such

Finally become something more than that which is unspoken

Do they snap from within, thus losing their minds

Suddenly, everything they've kept hidden is all pouring out

The psyche fractures when overflowing with troubles of different kinds

Leaving the poor, unkept souls, left only to scream and shout

When does one lose control of their innermost self

Crawling on broken knees to make it through another day

Hoping it's not this day that they're put on the shelf

Still looking for what, if anything, they can say

For once lost, seldom does it return the same

Forever fractured into the pieces of what once was you

And while you tried, you were torn apart by life's deadly game

Ripped in half, torn into two

Once the bow breaks

The cradle does fall

Remember, even that hand on the cradle makes mistakes

But alas, don't we all

Remember this lesson before you need its wisdom so true

For it's not the hand which rocks the cradle which changes a thing

It's the one that breaks the bow which rules over you

You and all the others who hear the rulers' thinking
