The One Eyed Family
Out walking and surviving perfectly

The One Eyed Family
There lived a man with only one eye.
His wife had one eye too.
Their dog had one eye in the middle.
But somehow the three got through.
Although they only had three eyes.
It kept them all alive.
They saw enough between the three.
And somehow they survived.
The husband stood upon the right.
His wife stood on the left.
The dog stood proudly in between.
Their eyesight then was best.
One morning they went for a walk.
The husband took his stick.
The dog saw something tall and brown.
And headed for it quick.
The dog thought he had found a tree.
And cocked his little leg.
The tree was somewhere near his head.
His bottom faced the hedge.
His leg was pointing into space.
His wee went through the air.
The husband gave a mighty shout.
You nearly got me there.
The wife said move a little left.
The husband shouted right.
The dog just stood there looking lost.
With half his world in sight.
He tried again beside the tree.
At least he thought he did.
His head was almost touching bark.
His backside faced a bin.
The wife said we must walk in line.
Or goodness knows whats next.
You stand right and I stand left.
And doggy do your best.
So off they went along the road.
Three eyes all looking round.
The dog walked proudly in between.
And nearly left the ground.
They might have only had three eyes.
But what a sight they made.
Together they had perfect sight.
As long as no one strayed.
And if the dog needs one more wee.
They know just what to do.
One looks left and one looks right.
And someone finds the loo.
