The pain which fuels your dark tendencies,

The pain that regurgitates your twisted art,

The pain that has become your muse...

YOU REFUSE IT.

You refuse to let it alter your vision,

You're tired of seeing in shades of gray!

You refuse to let it carve out your innards,

Leaving you a hollow husk,

You're tired of that damn cold!!

You want to smile

Not with a plastered mask,

But the kind which melts your face in your own tears,

You want to love, Gods yes!

To love so tenderly that the flesh falls from the bone!

You want to see the beauty in the human condition,

Beauty in the struggle..

You want to tear your body apart then rebuild the fibers of your muscles,

You want to completely shatter then fuse your bones back together,

You want to (attempt) to rewire your brain

Sodden with the toxins injected by the snakes of your past,

Striking at your psyche once you gain an inkling of happiness,

Lurking behind in the form of shadows which grab your ankles

Praying for you to fall once again

Seeking solace in their dark embrace..

A soul who was buried in the oceans trench

Like sunken treasure,

Those who try and plunder you will find an unfathomable divinity,
