The Old Days
The old house
By Janet ThenyPublished about a year ago • Updated 11 months ago • 1 min read

Sometimes
when I'm just not present
I hear voices
and think it's still back in the day
in our old neighbourhood
and life is just the way it was for so long.
But the old house is gone - torn down
The rubble trucked away
The garden too and trees gone
new grass laid out now
A new house
Lit up at night
Shiny and bright
