Under the northern sky, there’s a show

A famous dance of vibrant light

In perfect rhythm, they ebb and flow

*

A spectacular phenomenon you may know

Green and purple paint a mystical sight

A force of nature with a heavenly glow

*

Like cosmic ribbons tied in a bow

This celestial event is a divine rite

Weaving organic magic to and fro

*

Elevated on it’s high plateau

It turns the sky into a celestial sprite

Whispering legends of long ago

*

Its hues shift like a kaleidoscope

An ethereal blush that burns bright

Making the stars want to elope

*

Under the northern sky, there’s a show

One you’ll only ever see at night

A spectacular phenomenon you may know

The aurora borealis is now aglow
