Such an eve
A New Year’s dream not to believe
First there was this frog with a horn
Combatting the wolverine scared and torn
Making every royal knight
Aware of the sight
Happening inside the fiesta fight
Texas prince found the golden ticket, championship crown
Before partying in the Glendale town
But while the purple and white celebrate
Number one Georgia bulldog thought they were great
Until getting bucked in the eye
Clock running, UGA X prepared to die
But alas the midnight witch unleashed a spell
Sent Brutus straight to tell
Giving excuses on why
UGA X did not die
My head spun and spin
About these two who registered the win
Fell asleep
Allowing an invading horror to creep
Showing a hawk from the sea
Who was stalking me
While I rode in a corporate jet
Engines roaring thinking my playoff spot was set
Then the flight plan turned for the worse
Misguided and off course
Crashing on a long island
Writing a movie script worth buying
While tending to broken bones
All alone
I saw a monster with an angry tone
It was a kraken
Who wanted me to do some packing
Or it would end up attacking
I sweated in fear
How could this be a ‘happy new year’
When the horizon displayed the sun
I awoke and thought I am not done
Until reality stated White Lillies had a fall
When Aston Villa made the right call
And Chelsea tied to the tricky tree
Leveling the blues for everyone to see
Hoping these uncomfortable images would end
Happiness soon on the mend
But the afternoon delight
Continued the fright
When the men in green
Showed up placid and not too mean
Followed by the kraken on ice
Trapping the islander mice
With fireworks cheese
And the monster did as it pleased
Now the moon is back out
I need to shout
Tomorrow is also another New Year’s Day
And all I have to say
Act like none of this information matters
When planning to climb the 2023 professional ladder
To your true dream
Where there is no scream
For a team
That lets you down again
With mistakes that one cannot comprehend
