Inclement Weather, Incensed Together

Rocky Thinking

It was a dark and stormy night,

Windblown and stinging, icy,

Populated by the noisy,

Spreading oratory disease and vitriol,

But living free and dying just the same.

.

What can you do for me?

Prompt the dark, obsequious, thin-skinned, and slimy,

Pre-answered in the choosers' granite minds,

Who brave the cold and stormy night —

The dark and sort of slimy.

.

Too old! Too chaotic! Too dictatorial!

Too swampy! Too immigratory! Too woke!

Too irrelevant, too polyannish, too wishful.

Too phony — Two phony.

The readouts, not-insane, write-in-Sanity.

    Well done!🥰

  • Oooo, polyannish! I didn't know there was a word for annoyingly positive people! I just can't stand them, lol! Thank you so much for teaching me that word. I loved your poem!
